"Now, we're going to talk about adhesives. Which is how do you glue your glass to your substrate? In this case, how are we going to glue our glass to this picture frame? There's a number of different adhesives you can use. Here's two that work very well. The first one is mastic. Mastic is a nice, thick, white, kind of frosting-like adhesive. You can apply it just with a spoon or a Popsicle stick. What's wonderful about mastic is that it's white so if you're using any glass that's see through you'll just see white behind it instead of whatever your substrate is. What I personally don't like about mastic is that it's pretty tacky and so it gets stuck to your fingers and it doesn't feel really nice. Also, if mastic gets stuck to the top of your glass it's going to stay on there. It's going to be pretty hard to scrape off if you don't wipe it off when it's wet. You can also use a clear, water based glue. This is my preference. What I like about it is it dries clear and also it doesn't stick to your hands very much or the top of your glass."
