"I've been working mostly with the reds and adding some whites, whites in here, to help establish the form. But these flowers so far, have not started to feel like they're real. And why they aren't starting to feel that they're real, quite yet. Is because I've avoided using the darkest tones. So now I'm going to come back in with some real dark browns. To establish the very edges of some of these. The ones that appear the darkest. And surprisingly, the color that I think that we need the most. Even though, I know that there's no black in those flowers. But I'm going to use a black. In a couple of points, to establish that high contrast. Remember this black, isn't going to be black really. Because it's going to be mixing with the colors that are underneath. But you wouldn't think that black, would be the color that you might need to use. In order to help create the illusion of flowers. But in this case, I think that's exactly what we need."
