"As I look at this, I see there are colors that I'm not expecting to see in here. I'm seeing some colors that are not green, at all, but red and brown, especially around some of the edges of the leaves. Reds and browns, it makes perfect sense, leaves dry out, so very possibly, what we need to do is add red edges, to some of these, to represent that and because red has such a powerful effect against green, it helps create some more separation against the greens and against some of the blues. Now that's beginning to feel like a real plant. If you look at it very closely, you can see it's very abstract. There's just a lot of little squiggly lines but you get back at a distance, and it starts to read like a real plant. We can accept it."
