"Hi, I'm Michael Burton and we're here talking about choosing a wedding videographer for your wedding day. Good important thing to ask and talk to your wedding videographer about is about the type of equipment that he or she will be using on your wedding day. Whether he'll use a tripod, or whether he'll use a glide camera or steady cam. These things are important because, first of all, in my opinion, a tripod slows a videographer up on your wedding day which is going to take longer for you guys to get your shoot done, and it tends to get in the way. Having a glide camera or a steady cam is definitely the better choice because a videographer can move around a lot quicker and thus, you guys can shoot on more locations. Also, in the way we shoot, we use a steady cam and a glide cam to get different angles that other videographers don't get such as high angles or low angles or just movement shots, big long sweeping motions that you can't do with a tripod. So, if our looking at the type of equipment they're using, that'll kind of give you an idea of what type of video and professional it is that you're going to get. You might want to ask them, "Are they going to shoot any digital?" "Are they going to shoot in HD?" If they're going to shoot in digital and you want HD, make sure you request that. They'll probably charge you a little bit higher rate for the HD, it just depends on the company. But, make sure that if you want it in HD, let them know, specify that that's what you want. Ask them about microphones. Make sure you have good quality microphones because there's nothing worse than seeing a wedding video that's been done, if they're shooting in the documentary style and hearing bad audio."
