"A favorite shimmy to learn is the three quarter shimmy. It adds a lot of texture to your dance. This is a really fun one to do. So it's just like the weighted hip bump except that we're going to be moving twice on the one side and then back through. So we're going to shift our weight on the one all the way over. So it's going to go one, two, three. One, two, three. So we're going right, left, right, we are talking about the hip here. Right, left, right, right left, right. Now I'm lifting my feet right now so you can see where my weight is shifting. But you want to keep your feet nice and low when you do this. So in order for it to bump twice on one side, it has to come back, so it has somewhere to come from so it can go there. Make sure your belly button is pulled in and your chest is lifted. Good, right, right, left, right, left, right. Left, right, left, right, left, right. Make sure you've got all these movements nice and smooth, before you try speeding it up."
