"In this next section, I'm going to talk about the outfit here that I have. It's a Pa'u skirt. Most Hula students wear it in the islands and at my class. It shows, you know, what they call it, making your skirt talks. So when you do the movements, the skirt moves. And you can see where, you know, in terms of the hips moving to. And then making your skirt talk with that Uahe movement. In traditional schools, the student wear the white and I guess eventually as they progress through their lessons, they are given designs and all colors of their skirt. Most of my students, we just order the skirts from Hawaii and we wear them and I teach it not as traditional as some teachers do."
