"All right, folks. In this clip, we're going to talk about how to make a movie online. And by make a movie, I mean produce and distribute it because you can't really film a movie online unless you're using your laptop webcam to, like, follow you around and have that be the movie that you're shooting. That doesn't sound very interesting to me, and I don't think it would be to anybody. But utilizing the Internet as a tool and doing research for the film is incredibly invaluable. It's...I mean, all the information in the world is basically a mouse click away these days. Set up your story, use the Internet as a way to do research for it. As far as distributing your finished, produced film, there are any number of websites that you can take your short films, your music videos, your documentaries, anything that you've produced and distribute for the entire world to see. And the marketing options are limitless. If you want to promote your film all over the place, you absolutely can. You can promote it in your blog. You can promote it on your own Facebook or MySpace page, on your own YouTube account. You can literally be your own marketing team. Basically, the Internet and producing movies and distributing them online has really created a level playing field for the independent film scene, so much so that just about anyone these days can produce movies and get them distributed, and even, you know, go on to be successful doing it. It's a different world that we live in now, but it's...you know, it's great in a lot of ways because it provides everyone with a shot, and, you know, that's what everybody deserves."
