Hey, I'm Bill Connolly your artist and cartoonist extraordinaire. He to learn how to draw and elliptical arch, kind of like in St. Louis, Missouri. They have that huge arch up there. What is an ellipse, first of all? An ellipse, the shape of it by definition, it's kind of like a glass. It's a circle that's kind of squashed down. An elliptical arch is going to be like the half of that, like the top half. The angle or I guess the degree of roundness at the top like the one in Missouri. You see little people on the bottom there. I'll go ahead and fine tune that with a pen and take the marker and it gets at it's most curved on the top. It's not a complete circular arch. It's an ellipse cause it more gradual down here than it is extreme up on this top here. Then if your looking at it from underneath the golden arches of McDonalds or just two of these arches that are next to each other. They have two arches but in St. Louis they have in the city the archway there. It's a huge beautiful arch there. That is it. Practice drawing ellipses and then you'll be able to draw an elliptical arch in your own home. I'm Bill Connolly your artist and cartoonist extraordinaire, thanks a lot.
