Hey this is DJ Hurricane here in South Beach Florida. Alright, how to come up with a DJ name in this clip. There is a little controversy surrounding this. In my time you never really came up with a DJ name yourself. Your crew or your peer group or other DJ's in your area kind of dubbed you a certain name and you kind of stuck with that. But you can always pick out anything. Something that is relevant to you. There is really no rules here. For instance a lot of DJ's in to tech noise tend to keep their real name. A friend of mine DJ Trick Cantrell, somebody like Robby Rivera. This is these guys names. In Hip-Hop it tends to be more street names and nick names and sorts. DJ Hurricane for instance. DJ Memorial, you know things like this. Something that is relevant to you. I am from New Orleans and I'm DJ Hurricane. Most importantly, like I said there is no rules. Make a name for yourself. Your DJ skills and how much practice you put in will really speak for it self and it really doesn't matter what name you have. This is DJ Hurricane here on Miami Beach.
