You've got to be able to switch gears depending on the mood of the party and go from a lower bpm and jump to a higher bpm quickly to get the energy moving. Remember pace yourself, you don't want to blow all of your good music and best songs in the beginning of the night. You're going to need four or five hours worth of music, so take your time build it up and let's get the party rocking. For the actual application of your set that is playing your set live, remember start your set off strong. Do some tricks or some juggling or something to let them know it's a live DJ and not just an iPod playing music. Most importantly don't forget it's music get into it, listen to it, have fun with it.
