In this clip we are going to talk about what the band managers do. There are many things that the band managers do and their importance is, is very instrumental in the success or failure of the particular band. It's very important because their, their charismatic leadership can either sink a career or, or raise it to the top. Couple of these things they do are; when the band's on the road, they make sure they get to, to the shows on time; they make sure that the tours go well; they make sure that the tours are making money; they coordinate the efforts of a lot of different people and they basically make sure that these things happen on time when they're supposed to and like the bus, shows up and takes the people to the next, to the next seat. When they're not on the road, they'd even, sometimes when they are, the band manager is, is mainly responsible for being a buffer zone; so that way the artist can stay in their creative frame of mind. They talk to the promoters; they talk to the producers of the, of the project; they talk to anywhere from hairstylist to, to like people in the magazines and they basically make sure that the business side of the band keeps going forward and also that the, the artists don't have to be bugged by every little detail that goes on within the organization 'cause a, a musical group is like a business organization and the leader of the business phase is the manager. He handles everything. So that's basically what a, what a band manager does.
