In this clip, we're going to talk about being a music promoter. Okay, so a promoter is an individual who is pretty good with people, someone who can promote the band. He goes to different venues and he gets gigs for the band. He goes to radio shows and he talks to people that can help out the band. And, he's pretty much a manager. And bands can do it on their own, but it's kind of hard to represent yourself as opposed someone who is saying, "Hey, check out this band, they're really good." It's hard to say, "Hey, check out my band. I'm really good." Having a music promoter is pretty important, especially starting out. So, there's different ways to promote, especially the Internet's got tons of ways, MySpace and there's Garage Band, which is like a community of bands. You submit your songs and you review, so people - pretty much a promoter would know about all those different ways to promote the band. And, the Internet is great and then through people is the main thing. People that are in the industry. People that are just, you know, that have bars, you know, people that - owners of clubs and all that. So, yeah, those are just a few ways to promote and become a promoter.
