Today I'm going to show you how to make a paper butterfly, just like this. You're going to need a square piece of paper, and I like using colored paper so I'm going to put the colored side on the outside for right now. Fold it in half, one way, open it up, and fold it the other way. And then, I've done a pre-diagonal the other way, I just do this to help it insert better, so I right now have a cross and an x for the folds. You're going to put this back into the rectangle, and you're going to invert, and tuck this in, re-crease, and invert and tuck this in. We're going to bring this up, and crease, and this up. Now what you do is you kind of hold that open a little bit, turn it over, and start bringing this back, and what you're going to do is bring this point a good inch at least, above here, inch and a half, and still kind of hold it down and what you have to do is you have to guide this paper 'cause you want it to lay down flat, so you're going to bring it up, close in a tight edge, here, and bring this down and flatten that, just like that. Same thing on the other side, 'cause this won't lie down on its own, you got to guide it a little bit. Bring it down, and crease that. So you see how that hangs over a little bit? Bring this down, flatten it, and then bring it back, half the length, so it's still, whoops, little bit more, still hanging over the edge, just like that. Now you fold it, oops, sorry, back to this side, we have multiple folds, you fold this together, you fold it inside itself, and then what you need is a fold from this corner, this is where the head is, these are your wings, you're going to fold kind of a 45 degree angle from this intersection. Paper's a little heavy here. Just press it down, kind of bend it back the other way. And, you have your little butterfly. Thanks. Hope you had a great time.
