In television, video production or theater work, there are many different roles that a person can play. Well, what does a production manger do? Well, depending on what type of production company that the production manager is working in, he may or may not have different tasks, a number of different tasks. But, usually, what the production manager does is helps to facilitate the vision of the producer, the director or the choreographer in all aspects technically. That may be video, that may be sound, that may be lighting, all of these things. So, the production manager will actually take ownership of the production process and help to facilitate the vision of the people that are actually producing the production. So, depending on if it's in theater or if it's in TV, they may or may not have different roles but they'll always have a lot of tasks that will help the producer and the director to accomplish what they need to accomplish in the production.
