"So, if you have an AVI file and you want to convert it to DVD, there's several ways to do that. You'll need an editing program. I use Sony Vegas and, in Sony Vegas, you'll actually be able to take your AVI file, drop it to the time line, select your file and re-render it as MPEG2. MPEG2 is the file format for playing DVDs that will play back on your standard DVD player. So, let's take a look and I'll show you how to do that. So, basically, you'll take your AVI file, drop it onto your time line, select your time line and render as, and again in this case, we're going to render out as MPEG2 and save. I hope that helps. Basically, once you have your MPEG2, you're ready to go straight to DVD for viewing on your DVD player."
