"In this clip we're going to talk about documentary photography careers. Documentary photography is really difficult I think because it really centers around your ability to have the timing to get that perfect shot. There are so many things, pictures that have gone down in history that are of those traumatic times in our lives, in our history that a documentary photographer would have to actually capture and be part of. I was talking, nature photography is what people kind of think of when they talk of OK documentary photography, nature. When they think about Brynn documentaries. However I know, I've seen a lot of National Geographic interviews that, it is not easy stuff. You're out there, you're really in the wilderness, you're man versus wild. You're waiting in the natural habitats of the animals and of the area in order to get the shot that isn't disturbing what is actually going on. And to be a true documentarian, you really have to not be disturbing the life that's going on around you. You have to be seeing everything without being seen basically. But it goes beyond that. I mean there are photojournalists now, especially in these days, who have to be in war zones. I mean you're out there, you could be shot. You could be run over, you know. You want to go up to the lava on the, you want to get that picture that no one else has the guts to get. And a lot of people have gone too far in that situation. But once you get that perfect shot, apparently it's supposed to be that amazing moment in your life that you know this is what you wanted to do. So I imagine there's a lot of pride going into documentary photography."
