"Alright folks, in this clip, we're going to talk about how to draw fashion sketches. Now, what I've done here is I've drawn the head for my model in advance and I'm going to basically show you how to go about the design process from there. First we want to give her a body, an outline to build off of starting with her chest and moving on down. Just give us something to work from and this will be the building block for your design. You have to decide early on what it is you want. I recommend doing this in pencil but I'm doing this in pen just so I can kind of show you how to best go appro...about this. Obviously you're going to have an idea of what it is you want to do. This is where you really lay out all the classic bits to your design. You really give it a lot of flair and personality at this point. Accentuate every last little detail. Now is not the time to be shy. You are going to lay out clearly what it is you are trying to do and be, you know, be bold with it. Don't be afraid to take, you know, a few risks, essentially. Drawing in fashion, is a lot of it is just thinking off the top of your head. A lot of these people will come in and sketch, just really simple, basic concept designs and then you go back to the drawing board and think to themselves, you know, like, I kind of like what I'm doin' here, kind of think some of it's working. Other hand, some of it might not be working. You might end up tossing your entire thing but it's all about just getting ideas down on paper which is by far the most important thing about wor...drawing fashion sketches, getting your ideas on paper and building off them. If you don't like something, you can easily go in and change it if you have the ability to do so. But in drawing a fashion sketch, make sure you clearly, clearly highlight and accentuate all the little bits that you're trying to showcase and do not hold back. This is your time to be creative. But that is essentially how you go about drawing a fashion sketch."
