Producer, Associate Producer, Executive Producer, what they all mean? Well, they all have different functions, they all do different things. Let me tell you what an Executive Producer does. Usually an Executive Producer is the money man; that's what it comes down to. They are the person that funds the project. So whether it's a movie, a TV show, a play, a live event, in most cases the Executive Producers, the person that comes up with the cash to fund the project. Sometimes they aren't even a part of that project. They aren't even involve in the project, but their name get stuck on to the project as the money man or the person that made it all happen and that's the person that finances the project generally. Now sometimes the Executive Producer maybe involve in the project, they may have oversight of the producer, the director and the whole she-bang, just depends on the type production it is. So if you're a producer and you want some projects to be funded and you don't have the cash and you don't know how to go about getting it; well, find yourself someone who wants to be names as the Executive Producer. Find somebody who has the cash flow to fund your project and make it happen.
