Every once in awhile, I have people ask me, How do you go about making movies? and I tell them, well, there are a lot of different ways to go about making a movie, not just one. Let's say you're making a low budget movie. What you'll need, are a camcorder, or a video recorder or some sort. I recommend at least a DV type of camcorder, for easy uploading into your editing system. An editing system, your editing system will actually allow you to do post production or editing, of any footage that you bring into your system. Great microphones, you'll need some good sound. Sound is very, very important. It's even more important than your video quality, when it comes to making a movie. Bad sound, and bad movie, forget about it. Bad video sometimes is a little more forgivable, depending on how well your plot is, and how well that you direct your movie, so those are things that you need to keep in mind, that you'll need, when you're going about making a movie. Number two, you'll need some education behind you. You have to know what you're doing, especially if you have other people involved. What I'd recommend, is finding somebody who knows the basics of video, and sound production, that can help you. Find someone who knows a little bit about editing, so they can help you to bring it in to your system, and cut the movie up, so those are a couple of ways that you can go about making your own movie, and again, the more you learn, the more you know, the better you'll be able to do.
