"Joel Hickerson from grindog.com and today we're going to learn how to draw people in motion. The first thing you use a line of action to kind of have your figure follow so if I want a figure running I'll slant it this way and maybe put a torso, leg, everything kind of follows this figure. If I want a person walking forward but leaning backwards I would do the same thing, torso, one leg out and maybe the other leg coming back. You can even kind of modify it, you arc it, you can have a torso and just maybe a cheerleader but on this one the line of action is really crucial to how you want to draw your character. You can even just draw yourself a line and see if you can follow it, something like that. That's pretty much how you begin your figures in motion drawing and that's how you draw people in motion."
