How to Make Roll-On Perfume

Making your own roll-on perfume is an inexpensive way to create custom fragrances at home. You can create a simple, single-note fragrance, or blend complementary essential oils to create a complex and unique signature scent. When blending essential oils, it's generally recommended to use oils from the same scent family, such as floral, citrus and musk scents (though this isn't a hard-and-fast rule). If you're inexperienced in using pure essential oils, it's a good idea to familiarize yourself with an essential oil's profile and warnings before using it.

Place funnel into mouth of glass roll-on bottle.

Measure and pour the jojoba or sweet almond oil into the roll-on bottle.

Measure and pour the vodka into the roll-on bottle.

Fill the eyedropper with the essential oil. Remove the funnel from the roll-on bottle and squeeze the essential oil drops into the bottle.

Place the top onto the roll-on bottle and shake the bottle well. This will mix the carrier oil, vodka and essential oils together.

Store the perfume in a cool, dark room for 12 days. Shake the bottle three times a day during this period. Your roll-on perfume is now ready to use.
