Hi, I'm Jared Drake and I'm going to give you some advice on movie making. The best piece of advice I can give on movie making is surround yourself with good people. Surrounding yourself with by great people gives you their knowledge, their experiences, their insight, their know-how. As you're getting into it, there's... it's amazing how complicated and complex and intricate the world of film-making is and how the pieces mesh. The relationships that people have, you know, from different crew departments to department, the workflow, the emotional journey that you go on as a filmmaker. To surround yourself with people that have been through it before will help you out so so much. So try and find a mentor, somebody that you... that will help guide you through it. And listen to them and ask questions. And the other thing you should be aware of when you go into the film industry is that it's a collaborative art form. If you want to go somewhere and just do your thing and not have to account to anyone or listen to anyone, and this is even if you are the director, the King Kong command dude of all dudes, don't be a filmmaker. Filmmaking... the best films in my opinion come out of relationships between a director, DP, actors, screenwriters, producers, where they all come together and create something that's very special. It's not one person.
