"Hi, I'm Rebecca Guenther with www.m5a1photography.com and I'm going to talk to you about what is vintage stock art. Vintage stock art is going to be any kind of art that is twenty years or older. Generally it refers to, you know, maybe the 1800s or the early 1900s and it has sort of an old timey feel that advertisers might want to get in their current ad that they are trying to put together. It could also mean up to very common used images like the 40s and 50s pin up girls. You know, Vargas and all of that. The older images, most of them are copyright free and they've come into the public domain which means that you can get them for free anywhere and you don't have to worry about copyright infringement. However, once again, you want to make sure that you really investigate. How old is the image? is there a copyright on it? Can I go ahead and use it for free, which is going to mean doing a little bit of research. But, most of these websites will specifically tell you if something is in public domain or not, which means copyright free. And that's just a little bit about vintage stock art."
