"So now we have A Dorian which is the 2nd degree of G major. 2nd note right out of G major scale so we start on A and play our G major scale you have 1,2, flat 3,4,5,6, and flat 7. So it is really that flat 3 and flat 7 that really characterize this scale and we use it over minor chords we always play Dorian especially when you're playing chord because all the notes in Dorian all sounds good. So you can just float around that whole scale and just hit clusters and it would always sound good. So that is what we use for our minor scales our A Dorian starting right here on the root utilizing the minor 3 and the minor 7. "
