"I'm Rick Tobey on behalf of Expert Village and this is Blues Progressions, part two. On this segment we're going to learn how to play the A the D and the E as a movable chord, or a bar chord. That way you can play the same song in any key just by moving the chord. The A bar chord, this would be an A seventh, you would start with the index finger essentially barring all the strings at the fifth fret. The third finger is on the seventh fret of the A string and the second finger is on the sixth fret of the G string. You need to press down really hard with your index finger. Make sure you get all those notes clear. You can practice moving this chord and that will help you to learn how to play it really well. The D chord, we would play it like this. Here, we're kind of not playing the low E string or the high E string, we're kind of muting it with the thumb and the little finger. Here, the third finger is on the fifth fret of the A string. Second finger is on the fourth fret of the D string. The little finger is on the seventh, I mean the fifth fret of the G string and the index finger is on third fret of the B string. So, in this is position it would be a D, this would be D flat, this is a C. There again, we can practice going up and down the neck. To play the E seventh chord you simply take the D seventh chord and slide it up two frets. Now, we have the A seventh, a D seventh, and a B seventh bar chord. Now, we're going to learn to play progression with these bar chords."
