"In this next clip on how to accompany yourself on piano, I'm going to teach you about the augmented chord. The augmented chord is basically the opposite of the diminished chord. So, we know that a diminished chord is a stack of minor thirds. An augmented chord is a stack of major thirds. And, major third remember is one-two-three-four. One-two-three-four. Oh, it's dissonant. But, completely in its own way. Right. And, if we were going to see this on music I just want to bring your attention right over here. Because, a diminished chord written like this with sometimes a circle or sometimes D diminished. Or, an augmented is written often like this D augmented. So, now when you come across these chord symbols you'll know exactly what to do. So, you can build these augmented chords in any key that you choose."
