Making a Base for Sculpting a Human Figure Out of Clay

"Well, this is going to be now time to make the base where we're going to project that layout in. It's going to be in that clay. We are going to start cutting a slab here. As I said, this small as the thickness of the body here. We have to add a little bit later. We will probably elongate. We are going to be out of proportion, probably. A little bit, but it's not big deal. We can later finish this. Now we're going to cut the slab, okay? You have to press the sides and then, hopefully it's going to come out. Okay. Here we have, and the slab that is the thickness of the human body. Then, what we are going to do next, is to put the layout here. We can see that it's going to miss the hand, and that's okay. We, with the roller pin, we are going to slide a little bit and widen the slab a little bit to fit it."
