"On behalf of Expert Village, my name is Paul Anderson from the ABC Circus here in Hollywood, Florida and we're going to do, How to be a clown! So how do you get your first job? Your first performance? Your feet in the door? Well, as I just mentioned, birthday parties are always a good one, but another great one to start off with is a parade. Because you walk down the parade line and each person you could just do a few seconds for. Easy way to dip your feet in the water and see if you really like it or not. Also, festivals, you could call up a festival and say, "Hey! can I walk through your festival dressed up?" I have even known people who have just dressed up and walked in the festival, and there you are. All of the sudden you are performing. In fact the very first time I was actually performing, I was at a festival and I had my face painted and people mistook me as a performer. I liked it and now here I am 30 years later dressed like a clown for you."
