"Now we're going to start painting. First thing you want to do is get a wipe, you have it on your table and just prepare the area for painting, wipe off any birthday cake or cotton candy they might have had. Smooth their hair back a lot of times the moms might have a hair band or a clip or something if the little girl has long hair. Sometimes they need an extra wipe in other places. Now today we're going to start off by doing a spider man face on our model here. When you're face painting with multiple colors, the idea is to work from the lightest color to the darkest color. You can start with the darker color and then go over it with the lighter color the way the paints are designed, it's just a lot easier to go the other way around and your colors pop a little better. So what I'm doing right now is I'm getting a little white and we're going to start by doing spider man's eye. I wet my brush and the first thing I'm going to do, is the outline of the eye. Again you?re anticipating that your model is going to wiggle a little bit so just hold your brush lightly and just kind of try to move with them. You want to be really careful not to poke them in the eye, you may even ask your model to stop twitching so much so that you don't poke them. Usually that gets them to stop. I'm just taking my brush, and filling it in. You can right on the eyelid right up underneath the eye, until you've got it all filled in. Then you just want to smooth it out a little bit so you don't see all of the brush lines. Try to go back in where he was wiggling or squenching and get in all of those crevasses. Can you look at me for a second sweetheart? It's almost done, just a couple little white parts of skin showing there. Now we have a nice white, spider man eye."
