"Now we're going to talk about adhesives you can use for your mosaic tile project. For indoor use, the recommended product is a mastic. Mastic is a white, glue type adhesive. It's a little bit thicker than glue that you're used to, and it's got kind of this frosting consistency. Mastic is great, it's nontoxic, but it's only good for indoor use. For outdoor use, you want to use Thinset. Thinset's a cement type of adhesive. You mix Thinset with water until it's the consistency of about peanut butter, and then you can use that for your outdoor mosaic projects. Today we're going to be using mastic because we're making an indoor project. I use mastic with my bare hands. It's nontoxic and it'll wash off. Even if it dries on your hands, you can still scrub it off. Some people don't like the feeling though because it is kind of sticky. If thats the case for you, you can just use rubber gloves so you don't get the mastic directly on your hands, but it just gets on the gloves which you can throw away."
