"Hi! My name is Kip Bradford and I am here on behalf of Expert Village. In this clip we are going to talk about the proper type of solder for you to use while doing electronic work. If you can see here, this says it is Rosin Core Solder and the type of solder that we want is the type that is made for electronics. You can get it that is made for plumbing. That is the wrong kind. It won't work. It is also usually way way thick but this is the proper type and you can get this in a lead form of solder or you can get it in a non lead free type of solder which I don't think works as good and you can get also what is called silver solder which has a quicker melting point. Normally that is used for very sensitive components but for audio cables, just the standard electronic type solder will work fine. You can also get this in various gages. This is just maybe a little bit thin for if you are only doing audio ables but we do a lot of circuit boards type work here so we usually bring them this kind. "
