on 5/19/2009 This man is NOT a "PROFESSIONAL" and is NOT showing anything correctly. This is not something you can or should learn by watching a DYI video. You are dealing with public heath and it should be taken very seriously. If this is a career you want to pursue, do yourself and the Tattoo industry a huge favor and seek out an apprenticeship. First and foremost you must be an "ARTIST" before you pursue this. If not, you should not try this period. There is much more to it than tracing lines and coloring inside them. I have been tattooing professionally for 13 years and I am deeply offended that, someone would not only make a DYI tattoo video but, someone who is clearly not a professional. His practices are unsafe and improper. Please remove this series of videos and others like it.

on 8/2/2008 Your station is not clean...you don't cover things properly...your colors should not be near there or should your ultrasonic...if you mention your ultrasonic, why not the autoclave? This is a very poor presentation.

on 1/30/2009 Lay off people-have you ever heard of 'For Introduction and Demonstation Purposes Only'. I mean geez-the guys not preforming a tattoo or implying that he is in a tattoo station. The guy is simply trying to show a few visual aids for people that may not know what basic tools are that someone would need to obtain if they are considering learning to tattoo. Now if he was showing the beginning steps of sanitation or beginning a tattoo then I would have to agree with all of you...but really now.

"I would like to discuss a few things I would like to talk about and one of them is our work station. This is our work station here. There are some basic necessities that a tattoo artist is going to need before he is going to be able to do any tattooing or anything of the sort. First thing is a tattoo machine. This is a tattoo machine from a company called World Wide Tattoo. They are pretty local. It is reasonably inexpensive and this is one of the reasons I wanted to introduce this machine. We are going to use this in our tattoo work so that you can know that it works well. This is another machine that we are going to use. This is a higher end machine by a company called Hucks Spalding Enterprises out of New York and this is my personal preference but that has been after a couple of years of tattooing. This is a power supply here and this is the power supply for this particular machine which is called a Revolution II. This is another power supply that we will be using for our line work which is with our traditional machine. We've got our colors which I prefer to use Skin Candy. Their colors are bright. They don't fade as far as in the beginning they stay pretty true in regards to how they look in the bottle and how they look on the skin. I personally use Skin Candy inks or pigments; different people call them different htings. They are of a high quality ink that is used throughout the industry. They are used by Miami Ink which is a television series and Miami Ink uses them exclusively. That is not why I use their ink. It works for me. There are other brands that may interest you. It is worthwhile to check it out. Another thing we are going to need is this item here is an ultrasonic cleaner. This is used to clean what we call needle tubes. That is this item here that slides into the tattoo machine itself in order to get all of the pigment out. There is really no other way to do it before you have the model clay. I will get into that at a different point. We've got green soap which comes in bottles like this. It is a surgical soap used to clean the skin and it is really the best thing to use to keep the skin clean and sterile during the application. This is called green soap which is what we use to prep the skin in addition to alcohol. It is a surgical soap that as far as I know can only be acquired through the tattoo suppliers. The next thing I would like to get into discussing is the set up of the tattoo machine and tattoo machine parts. "
