"Hi I’m Fred with ExpertVillage.com and on this segment we’re going to talk about tuning up your banjo. We’re going to tune your banjo to standard banjo tuning and we’re going to start with the bottom string here. This string is going to be tuned to D, if you have an electronic tuner you can do that, if not you can just tune it to my banjo. The next string tuned to B as in boy. The third string is tuned to G. The next string is tuned to D as in dog. And the fifth string is tuned to G, but it’s an octave higher than the other string. And when you’re tuning the banjo, you always start a little bit lower and tune up to the note. "
