"Hi, my name is Elissa with ExpertVillage.com and today I'm going to show you how to crochet a scarf. Another kind of yarn you can use is a specialty yarn. It looks great, it's really festive and fluffy but it's pretty difficult to work with because the yarn itself is very thin among all the feathers sticking out of it, so this is definitely something a more advanced crocheter would want to use. Again, it's going to make really fast pieces but because it's so thin it's going to take a lot of yarn to make one piece. So, this is what some kinds of specialty yarns will look like. Another kind of specialty yarn is going to be the acrylic textured blend. They are a little more difficult to work with because they have so much texture in them it's harder to see where you're stitches are, but they are very, very, fast and they come in some really rich colors. So these are some examples of specialty acrylic textured blends."
