"After you have pulled the trim off, and you have all this caulking and stuff that is left on the wall and old built up paint, what you want to do is you want to get yourself a box cutter, and just slice along the paint. Now be careful; it’s pretty thick and you don’t want to cut yourself. And just take a scraper and just scrape the old off and just slide it up and pop it that way, cut all the way through it. Do it carefully because you don’t want to have to peel the whole entire wall and start all over. And on the sides, where there’s caulk and stuff just scrape it off flat so that you can put the new trim on. Make sure that you scrape along here. And just continue with that all the way around the entire door until you’re completely done. "
