on 12/29/2008 Appreciate the help. But It would be nice if you can really tell us how to remove the valves and if I need to re-pack or add some vaseline to it. Eddie

" Hi! This John on behalf of Expert Village. In this video clip I will show you how to fix a leaky shutoff valve. Another common problem in households is that the shutoff valves will drip over time. There is packing inside of them that will become loose for whatever reason, and this will cause these valves to start to drip. A easy way to fix this to get a adjustable wrench and fit that on to that nut, and you can give it a good tightening. This should tighten up that packing and cause it to stop leaking. "
