Mixing the Drywall Mud

"Hi! This is John on behalf of Expert Village. In this video clip, I will be talking about mixing the mud. Now that you have finished dry walling, the next step is to prepare the mud. I bought this box of pre-mixed mud to use. Now even though it is pre-mixed, we are still going to want to mix it up a little bit more just to get it to the right consistency. First I am going to just get out a little bit of mud. You want that consistency of your drywall to be that of thick mud. Now this consistency right here is just a little bit too thick, so what I am going to do is go ahead and add a little bit of water and then mix that in. This is going to thin it up a little bit and help it spread much better on the wall. "
