How to Install an Electrical Outlet Box

"Hi! This is Jon on behalf of Expert Village. In this clip, I will be showing you how to install an electrical outlet box. Our box should fit easily into the hole that we made in our drywall but it shouldn't be lose enough that it can really wiggle around or even fall through. The only thing really that is going to be holding it are these four tabs. On the front of our electrical box, we have these screws; there are a couple of them. and this is what we are going to use to tighten down those tabs that will hold our box securely in our drywall. If we take a look at the backside of it, we have our tabs here. When we screw those screws in it is going to flip those tabs up and pull it tight against our drywall and that is going to hold it securely. "
