"Hi! My name is Chad Smith and I'm a state certified Journeyman Wireman basically a electrician. We are installing a new doorbell in this house today. I just want to take a moment to talk to you about the case that where if you had to pull new wire or install new wire for your project. If you remember earlier today we had really short leads at the front door bell button and we had a lot of trouble getting the new switch on. I was able to pull it off and put in a switch and not have to replace the wire. If you find a situation where you are going to have to put new wire in you are going to want a basic hook a piece of string to the wire that is at the front door and you are going to have to crawl in your attic. Now I know you don't want to do that but you are going to have to crawl in the attic. Now when you get in the attic they would be 2 little wires that run over to the existing door bell location and really all your going to do is just pull that wire up and pull the string thought the wall and then you are just going to come back and hook the new wire to that string and pull it through. These simple steps of hooking the string to the wire and pulling it through will help you tremendously in putting in the new wire. I'm Chad Smith we are putting a new doorbell in this house today."
