"Hey guys, were here today learning how to play some fun, new improv warm ups for your improv team. And the next warm up that Dan and I are going to show you is called, "two truths and a lie". Now you've probably played some variation of this, in different group icebreakers or setting and stuff like that. But we are going to cater this to the improv scene. Now to play this you are going to get your entire group to stand or sit in a giant circle. Each player is then going to take turns making up two things, oh, I'm sorry, saying two things about themselves that are true and then making up a third lie. Now try and mix them up, it doesn't have to go in the order of two truths and then a lie. The point of the game is to try and create some sort of lie that is so believable about your life, that you can trick the rest of the group in to not knowing which one is the lie. Once you spit those out, the group is going to try and guess which one is the lie and which two are true. It's pretty straight forward, but it's a lot of fun, it's a fun get to know you game, it's gets everyone loosened up, and it gets you thinking on your feet and how to create a fictional situations that are believable. So Dan and I are going to go ahead and play this. "Dan, you want to start and I'll try and guess which one is which". "I worked at Disneyland in my early twenties as a Jungle Cruise ride operator. I have driven to Atlanta, three times in three different vehicles and two of them have broken down before I've gotten a chance to go back home. And I have two cats named Lela and Mowgli." I'm going to guess that the lie is that you worked at Disneyland. "Yes, I would like to work at Disneyland." Yeah, absolutely, so if any Disneyland casting agents are watching, these dudes. Alright, now I'm going to tell two truths and a lie and see if you can guess. I am originally from Tuscan California, but now live in Nashville. I once got in trouble for wearing an explicit t-shirt at a baseball game and I had to remove the shirt and watch the rest of the game topless. And, oh, I went skydiving with this guy, I was going tanning with a guy, who was also a full time juggler, and so he wanted to talk to me about the juggling experience as I was experiencing my first ever skydiving. "Well, you with and your shirt off, is like fish got to swim, so that's not it, and I know you have lived in California, so I'm going to go ahead and guess the skydiving." Oh, you guessed correctly. That's how you play,"two truths and a lie." "
