"So now that you got your shoes and you laced them up or in some cases buckle them up they feel good you got comfortable soft socks on that you know that aren't going to shave your feet. The next thing to do is to warm up for a few minutes before you want to start dancing I recommend rolling your ankles for a while just back and forth like this with both feet clockwise and counter clockwise. If you get the soft sole shoes like I do point your toe and flex your foot several times on each side. Also another good thing to do is the typical gym class calf stretch where you put one foot behind the other and just bend the knee in front and stretch both calf's like that. It's really good, and for the most part you don't have to do anything with your upper body or your arms, what your doing is stretching out your feet and your ankles you want to a quad stretch too. If you do a lot of dancing tap dance gets into things like hopping and jumping on both feet like that and just shake it out a little bit, shake your feet get your ankles nice and loose. That's all you really have to do to get stretched out and warmed up for tap dancing and I recommend doing that for about 10 minutes before you start."
