"Hi, I'm Terri Lynn and this is David O'Donnell and we're here on behalf of Expert Village. In this segment we're going to show you how to choose a monologue for your audition. So David, you've got an audition coming up today at 5:30? Have you chosen your monologue? Yeah, I'm going to do this one from Dead Poets Society, Dr. Keating. No, that's a dramatic piece, you're auditioning for a comedy today. It's really important to choose the monologue that's going to best show your attributes or character that you're auditioning for. So if you're auditioning for a comedic role, choose a comic, choose something that shows your comedic, funny side. Now if you're auditioning for a dramatic role, you might want to choose something a little more serious. Sometimes you're auditioning for a role that has a little bit of both so try to tailor your monologue towards that but always try to have two monologues prepared because you never know if they're going to ask to see both a comedic and a dramatic monologue. So have you found one now David? Yeah, I think I'm going to go with Robbie from The Wedding Planner. Perfect choice."
