"I am going to talk to you today about private lessons. I feel that it is very important to help you advance as a flute player to find an instructor to help you. I would suggest going to a local music store and asking them if there is a flute private lesson teacher that you can talk to and possibly start taking lessons from because they will began to show you books, help you practice, show you different techniques and help you get better as a flute player. Another place that you can look for a private lesson teacher should you not be able to find one at a music store would be maybe your local high school or local university. Another good tip is to go to you local music stores and get some beginner books they have to offer for flutes. Some of the very good ones to start out with are technique books to help you get a lot better with technique, with your tuning, your slurring, your vibrato and as well as your fingering abilities. The tuning books will help teach you to listen to your tune and help you tune yourself and make sure that you have that rich flute tone. It is also very important as a young flute player to make sure that you practice every day. I would suggest setting aside 30 minutes to an hour every day to practice around the same time so you get into a good routing and you really push yourself to become a better flute player."

on 8/2/2008 Sarah does a great job helping beginning flute players with the basics. I am now 46 years old and started playing when I was 6 years old. I would have loved to have her as my beginning as well as advanced teacher when I was taking lessons. She makes it easy to understand and is concise and gives a throurough overview of what aspect of flute playing she is teaching. Her demonstrations are helpful in putting her lessons into practice and making beginning flute players even more excited about getting started. Sarah is also easy to listen to and relaxed. I feel she would make a very good teacher for students of all ages because of her calm demeanor and seems to be someone who would be very patient with her students. I think it's wonderful that she has won her deserved recognition for her talent through her solo and ensemble awards. You have a great site Sarah. Thank you!

on 8/2/2008 Sarah Noah has been my online private lesson teacher since these videos came out and I LOVE THEM! Sarah-is-an-idiot has no idea what she is talking about. Maybe that person lacked the love they needed while learning the flute. Maybe they should have studied with Ms. Noah. Then, just maybe, they wouldn't be so hate-filled and ugly to everyone.
