"Hi, my name is Sarah for Expert Village.com. Today, I am going to talk to you about proper breathing techniques for flutes. It is very important to take deep hardy breaths while you are playing a flute. Flute is one of the instruments that takes the most air. Actually, half of your air is wasted when you play. Half of it goes over the hole and half goes into the flute. So, you need twice as much air. It is very important to breathe not only with your upper chest but to breathe with your diaphragm and your stomach. You should be able to feel the air and your muscles working from your stomach up. With proper breath, you should see your stomach rise like this. "
