RYAN LARSON: So, now we're going to go through our tune and actually analyze it and we start off right here, our first chord. First of all, there's 4-8-12-16--18 measures. So, you want to go through and write down this. I put four measures on each page or on each line and then you have five lines including this last line of two here. In this way, you can write down the chord changes and analyzations of them as we go through it at home, as we go through it on the internet. So, we start with our A. So, A is our scale, right? So, it's a i chord and we notate all minor chords with lowercase Roman numerals and major chords get uppercase Roman numerals. So, we have i then C, right? A, B, C so that's a iii but it's a C natural not a C-sharp so we have a flat iii. And again, lowercase Roman numerals. So, those are our first two chords and we can find them easy on the bass if we go 1--here's our 1 right? Root. One-2-3 and we said it's a flat iii, right? So, we got it right here. So, we can even do a little Latin now, 1-5-1-5 to flat iii, root, flat 3rd, root. So, you can go through and play those two chords just doing a Latin bass 1 to 5, switching the root.
