" Hey guys! I'm Philip and this is part II on how to set up the high hat stand. All right, this middle part right here of this rod is actually that top cymbal that goes... and this is what it connects to. When you screw it into this, the pole running from the top, all the way to the bottom straight to this chain that is connected to the foot pedal, so when you press the foot pedal the whole thing goes up and down. So this needs to be tight, and if it comes unscrewed when you are playing, you don't have a high hat anymore and you don't have the option to opening and closing it. You just have two cymbals sitting on each other. So you want to make sure that this screws into this bolt right here, and its got to be really tight. You want it as tight as you can get it. So from here you want to add this; this is what the bottom cymbal sits on. Just like another cymbal stand, it just slides right on top and you put it in here and you fasten it; just like any other cymbal stand. From here you've got to know how to fasten the top cymbal on and that is what this thing is right here. This is called a clutch. What you do is you unscrew the bottom of it and there are two pieces of foam in here. From there you want to put the cymbal in here, and you tighten it back on and you just put it on here and tighten it from there. As you step on it, it will make the high hat move. That takes up the top part of the high hat. We will go over how to put the symbols on again later just to make it more real and visualize it. "
