Now a gate is only going to allow a certain sound to play once it reaches above a certain decibel level. So now when using gate you can use it for loops and kind of cut off unnecessary sound and unwanted noise, but you could also set it higher so that you can add certain effects to your loops which is commonly used. What we can do is we can go into our loop, go into our insert panel and click on gate. Now the gate should be within the dynamics. We'll go to silver gate. Now we'll press play and kind of mess around with it. Probably turn on a couple of the presets maybe.
