"Wings is an advanced tap move that you learn once you've been doing tap for three or four years. What you want to do is start on the ball of your foot. You're going to brush the side part of your tap out on the floor. When you pull it back in, you're going to strike the flat part of the tap and land on the ball of your feet. You want to make three sounds. The first sound is a brushing sound, using this side part of the tap. Second part is the slapping sound using the flat part of the tap, and the third part is your landing. Now I'll show you how to do the wings on one foot, so I can show you in slow motion. You're going to brush the side part of your tap, pull it in, and land. Now I'll show you how to do it on both feet. You can also do wings in a row. That's usually a crowd pleaser. If you want to spice up your choreography a little bit and add something that will really make people clap, you can do a few different wings in succession. Here's the slow motion wing on one foot. Brush, pull, land. Brush, pull, land. Brush, pull, land. Brush, pull, land. Now both feet."
