"Here were going to discuss the channel selectors switch which is a feature on some amps, not all. The smaller combo amp that we saw earlier just had one channel. This has two channels which means that you can have a clean channel which is just purely the tone of the guitar through the amplifier with some EQ. Or, a second channel which you would use for gain which we described earlier as the kind of distortion sound, the dirty sound. So the channel selector switch would allow you to switch between those two tones without adjusting a whole bunch of different knobs. This is especially useful if your playing a show and you need to go from one segment of a song to another that entails having distortion on it. So for example, you could be playing something very clean and then to something distorted with just a push of a button. And in some cases you can have a foot switch that will allow you to do that from your feet, just a pedal rather than having to go over to your amp and physically make that adjustment."
