"Hi guys. We're here today learning some improv exercises. Now, we're going to teach you an exercise called "Disk". "Disk" is a great game that teaches your group how to use scene work and how to integrate fictional objects into your scenes. To play "Disk," you're going to get your entire team to stand in a giant circle. You're going to imagine that there's a huge metallic disk in the middle of the circle. Now, every player is going to bend down and grab a frame of the disk and slowly lift the disk up as a team. Now, you'll find that when you are collectively imagining a fictional object, there's going to be various heights to deal with. If one side of the group lifts too high naturally the weight is going to shift to the other side of the group and they're going to have to imagine that their end of the disk is heavier than it is. The more realistic you can look as you're lifting this disk, the more successful the exercise. Now, since there's only two of us the disk that Dan and I are going to grab is going to be pretty light. Since we're limited with what you can see, we're going to act as if we're already holding the disk and we're going to raise it above our heads. This disk is extremely heavy. Alright. So, did they say where they wanted us to put it? Just up. They said up. Come on, keep going, keep going, keep going. Whoa, whoa. What, what? You're dropping it, you're dropping it. No, I'm not. I got it. Come on, up, up, up...faster, faster. One, two, three, one, two, three, alright let's drop it. Ready? One, two, three. Oh God, my foot. That's how you play "Disk"."
